Reverse Falls Ficlet .1

It had been three years since Stanford F. Gleeful had been in the quiet town of Reverse Falls, finally living in the mansion and leaving the small shack he had used to adapt and study the town feeling more comfortable than ever.

His journal, mainly focused on the research he wanted to do to find out the truth, was 1\4, in fact, what that triangular entity was, it was quite difficult to find anything concrete about it. Luckily, the place where he currently lived was a pile of strange information, but it was still information. The Southwest Mansion had a secret room that he discovered was devoted to triangle worship, which fascinated the human. Whatever it was, it was bigger than anyone thought, and that was exactly what he wanted.

He stayed in that room for a while, studying, checking, it ended up becoming his personal office where he kept every piece of information and piece of evidence about the creature's existence. He ended up sleeping on that soft sofa.

When he opened his eyes in surprise, he noticed the sensation of zero gravity, looking around it seemed like a dimension, no, rather, an astral space, he was sure it was… his head. Walking around curiously, looking at his notes and important objects, he stopped, noticing a bluish glow coming from behind a small gold and blue chair. Wait, it was...

Three years. It had been three years since the demonic entity had started observing the human who lived in the small town of Reverse Falls. For some reason, something about that human had caught the triangle's attention. The human seemed intelligent, curious and lonely. These were qualities for a perfect “partner”, better still, he was a perfect human to manipulate. It had made a decision, it was going to reveal itself to the human.

The human's mental space was wonderful. Pleasant, in fact. He sat down in a chair, and his impatient eyes soon turned to look at the human. Ah, what a beautiful human.

"Have a seat." He pointed to another chair, a bigger one. That was the first thing that came out of the entity's “mouth”.

Ford raised his eyebrows in surprise, oh well. Got that creature's attention. Smiled with satisfaction, sitting down and crossing his legs. "William Cipher, if that's the right name for you,” he put his hand to his chin, fascinated and curious.

William also crossed his legs. They looked like two stuck-up, petty creatures interacting, that was definitely a sight. The human's surprise was satisfying.

"Call me what you like, just don't call me love." He laughed softly.

Stanford smiled sideways, raising one of his eyebrows this time. "William, then.” Looked down at the blue triangle.

The human's gaze was penetrating, to say the least. He looked like a snake analyzing its prey, waiting for the moment to strike. That was a man who would be perfect to stand by her side.

"And I believe you are Stanford Filbrick Gleeful?" He placed a hand on his chin, continuing his analysis. “As long as he doesn't call me love,” he repeated the phrase uttered by the triangle. So he knows, hm? That would be interesting.

Will seemed surprised at his phrase being repeated. That would be more than interesting.

"Tell me, what did a genius like you come to do in the little town of Reverse Falls?" He offered the man a cup of tea. Obviously he already knew the answer, but what would be the fun in revealing it? No fun.

“Why don't we ask the real question, William?” The human picked up his cup, still smiling contentedly as he looked at the triangle watching him every second. “Why would an interdimensional being capable of invading dreams and distorting reality be so interested in the quiet town of Reverse Falls?” Sipped his tea afterwards.

That question was clever.

"Oh, you know! I've had my eye on someone. A curious scientist." Pointed at the man with one of his four fingers. "At the moment, you're the one I'm most interested in here." Now he was drinking his own tea.

"Oh yes, do I interest you" He didn't focus on that part, internally what stuck in his head was “keeping an eye on some scientist”, did he need one? "As far as I know, I'm the only considerably intelligent scientist in this dump. That doesn't answer your history here in Reverse Falls, unless you're the cause of the weirdness here, hm?"

He was flattered by the theory.

"My record here is the same as my record all over the globe, sweetie. Haven't you ever seen your dollar bill? The shape of certain foods? Oh, or that famous group called the Illuminati?" He snapped his fingers.

"Your theory is beautiful, but no, it's not completely true. If you consider a cult to be weird, then maybe."

That human was bold.

Ford didn't like the way he was answered, crossing his arms and leaning back in his chair. "You're sidestepping my question. It's obvious that everything to do with triangles has to do with you, I spent three years studying it and more before coming here. But there's something peculiar about this city." He smiled sideways again. "Something that attracted you and me."

His studies show that Will always visited this particular city in the middle of earth time, but his influence in the city was different from the rest of the world, he wanted to be discreet.

William rolled his eyes, that human was persistent.

"The only attractive thing here is you, my dear. It's a shame you don't seem interested in what I have to offer." Of course, he wasn't going to answer any questions clearly. He was persistent in keeping himself mysterious.

The human squinted his eyes, understanding the little game, he wasn't going to be direct, well he'd have to get it out of him whether he wanted to or not someday.

Wait, was that a flirt? Hm. "Of course I'm interested, I've never shown any disinterest, on the contrary, you interest me a lot."

That's great! He got his point across. Oh, wait, was that in return for his flirting? That human was unlike any other the entity had ever had the displeasure of meeting.

"I'm flattered."

The more worship, better.

"I can offer you many things! Knowledge, power, money. Although I imagine you already have that last one, hmm?" Again, he laughed softly. "But nothing is free…"

He finished his tea and put the cup aside.

"Tell me, does building an interdimensional portal interest you?"" Straight to the point. "You want me to build a portal, that's why you was looking for scientists, hm?” He reasoned "I could ask for anything in return for making your portal?" Finished his tea, too, letting the cup float away.

That man was ambitious. Just the way the triangle liked it.

"It depends on what you want to ask for." William summoned a checkers table so that they could both play while they talked. "And it depends on how much my proposal interests you." His eyes went wide as he said that last sentence.

Ford's self-centeredness almost considered refusing to see that creature begging, there's no other scientist better than him to do something like that. But he couldn't forget that the thing was unpredictable. "All I'm interested in is you at the moment, so if it gets me close to you and I get something in return, there's no point in me refusing." The scientist shrugged and started the game of checkers.

And it was incredible how interested and fascinated that human was in William, even though he had only studied the creature for a short time. The triangle knew itself to be incredible, heavens, but how good it was to hear those words coming from the mouth of someone other than his henchmen or someone who was begging for his own life.

"Hmm? Are you going to accept my proposal without even wanting to know my motives? I'm intrigued, Sixer. However, not in a negative way." He moved his pieces cautiously, he knew he wasn't going to lose to the human, much less did he intend to, but the entity had no reason to rush. "Oh no, William, we haven't made a deal yet, but I can't let you slip through my fingers." Smiled a little creepily.

That smile was bright and sharp, reminiscent of the smile sharks made after feeding on meat. Funny how that didn't scare the demon, it just made him more curious.

"Hmm, tell me, would you like to be the man who changed this little world for the better?" Will laid his “face” on his own hand.

Oh, this time Will knew how to get to Stanford's weak point. He wanted to, yes, not that he didn't already have one, but improving by helping is no use at all.

Their constant energy machine was the cure for energy pollution, and look, they weren't using it properly… They were making the world even worse. But having that capacity in his hands, that was much greater, without depending on big companies to do what he wanted, everything in his hand. "I want to be the savior of this disgusting world."

And from what the demon had realized during the time he had been observing the human, this man didn't feel much empathy for people, and he could take advantage of that.

"I need the portal to help you with this, Sixer." Finished the game of checkers, victorious. He floated out of his chair and approached the scientist.

"A world where those who mocked you are punished and you can be the one who rules…" All these words were partly lies, partly truths. For the triangle, your party would be what would change this boring world for the better, in fact people would die. Come on, it's not a lie if it's a truth told in parts.

"Does that interest you?" He got close enough to the human's face.

He looked at the game, squeezing his eyebrows together, not liking the fact that he had lost the match. Still holding his head high, he looked into the eye of the blue triangle and smiled, no, he may have lost the match, but he's going to win that game between them. “Yes, William, I'm interested.” An almost invisible smile appeared on his face, still with that smug look.

Harbinger of Chaos, Herald of Entropy.

infos about Mayhem! :

Mayhem has been around a LONG time. As a physical manifestation of Disorder, he's a neutral party who pops in and out of universes and brings chaos to them. Shifting the balance of order is his job.

Mayhem is one of many many physical manifestations of Disorder, but all other manifestations have passed. It's heavily suspected that Mayhem killed them all. The reason for it is unknown.

Mayhem outside of doing his job is actually funnily enough a very calm person. But only outside of it.

Mayhem and Gaze have known each other a long long time as well. They get on each other's nerves. Mayhem often finds himself wondering what Cord sees in that guy.

He finds himself getting along most with the "bad sanses" aka Nightmare's bunch. He finds them entertaining.. something akin to care is blossoming within him but he doesn't wanna admit that.

Mayhem's powers consist of:

Hallucikinesis: distorting people's view on reality and making them believe something is wrong when it's not or vice versa.

Damage displacement: when afflicting pain on somebody, Mayhem has the ability to make them feel that pain elsewhere or through the entire body.

Astral Projection: taking somebody's consciousness and making them go through a false reality. ( Bro usually lives in this portal dimension btw )

Intangibility: he can walk through walls. He likes to do that sometimes. Makes him feel funny.

He can also turn his head 270 degrees like an owl.

He technically can create clones of himself but he hates doing that so unless something happens it's really truly a last resort.

Nightmare and Mayhem:

Mayhem and Nightmare met while Nightmare and his gang were out to destroy a seemingly peaceful au. However Mayhem had been there first. The people were going insane, riots happening left and right, people killing each other all the while a sole entity was sat on a tree stump observing with a freakish smile. By all accounts this au was supposed to be incredibly docile and tranquil, yet they were standing amidst endless bloodshed. It had captivated Nightmare... The amount of negativity derived from pure nothingness.

Nightmare has repeatedly offered Mayhem to join him, however Mayhem has refused every time. To wreak havoc on the balance, he must remain a neutral party member.

However Mayhem has visited Nightmare often since their encounter. Mayhem finds he has a fascination for Nightmare. A fascination that he hasn't felt in a long long time.

He has developed a care for Nightmare and his bunch. A feeling he thought he'd long since forgotten. He used to poke fun at Gaze for finding love in the fleeting things, yet here he was.

He finds himself cooking and baking with Horror, learning about food and sustenance.

He finds himself helping people like Killer and Dust by simply lending an ear or helping them calm down through conversation.

He finds himself giving advice to Cross on how to read others and their stances while fighting.

And he finds himself maybe even a little in Love with a certain someone. ^^

Small pocket spaces are generated that house aspects of the dreamer’s subconscious which are pulled from during the generation process. Time within the dream plane often behaves in a nonlinear and fluid manner, defying the constraints of our waking reality. Dreams can compress or expand time since they exist outside of time and space, enabling the dreamer to experience a significant passage of time within a brief dream episode or to condense extended periods into a fleeting moment. This time dilation and distortion within the dream plane add to the surreal and immersive nature of dream experiences. Furthermore, due to the method dreams are generated here, the dreamer moves through areas of the space that are dedicated to their subconscious. This is typically where the “vibe” of the dream is ingrained. Most of the dream is actually in these areas.

Dreamwalking is a unique phenomenon that involves consciously traversing the dream plane while in a state of lucidity. It differs from regular lucid dreaming as it encompasses the intentional exploration of other dreamers' dreams or venturing beyond the confines of the dream plane itself. Dreamwalkers possess an extraordinary ability to navigate and interact with dreams beyond their personal realm, connecting with other dreamers or accessing extradimensional realms within the dream space or beyond. This practice opens up a realm of possibilities for expanded consciousness, interconnectivity, and multidimensional perceptions. Think of the dream plane as a nexus where all planes and spatial dimensions connect. From this nexus, Dreamwalkers may leave and traverse anywhere. Due to the lack of time in the dream plane, a Dreamwalker may also traverse through any point in time when they leave the dream plane.

It is important to note that Dreamwalking is not an easy or common practice. The improper practice of Dreamwalking (or the narrative that one is doing so when they aren’t) can lead to cognitive bias. Some of the best ways to identify Dreamwalking are: Waking not feeling rested at all, remembering 100% of the dream- even the subconscious areas, waking with bloodshot eyes, feelings of being disconnected from the body for several hours after waking.

The causal plane resides beyond the realm of thoughts and ideas, diving deeper into the essence of existence itself. It represents the underlying causes and fundamental principles that shape the physical reality (*4b). The causal plane is the realm of pure potentiality, where the seeds of manifestation are sown. It transcends linear time and holds the blueprint for the unfolding of events and experiences in the physical world. Manipulation, devoid of malice, is composed of distorted, or altered, truths. Every action is a reflection of the inner psyche. We only know how to love as ourselves, reflecting the love we embody and seek onto others. If our psyche is distorted, subsequent outcomes are inevitably affected. Simply put, if you’re f*cked up, everything else will be f#cked up with you.

So how do we defeat mental ailment mentally?

We talk about what we think and our Emotion reflects the subconscious. In silence, we sense subtleties. This is our most powerful weapon. Energy is naturally codependent; it requires reception. Maintaining the emotional body negates reaction and enables response.

Dimensions are leveled by Truth; the more you know, the more you apply, the higher you ascend. Low vibration energy poisons Truth, rendering it vulnerable to antidote. Abstain from danger by withholding Truth. Prioritize your safety by listening, learning, thinking, and observing.
